US Marines in Iraq using silly string to find trip wires

Seems like a clever US Marine worked out a way to check for booby trap wires whilst searching in dark rooms in Iraq. Cockeyed has this story of the former US Marine that sent an e-mail wanting to order some silly string for his brother who is currently in Iraq.

Surreal – advertising as emergency housing for earthquake victims

We-make-money-not-art has this link to a surreal photograph on SF Gate of temporary shelter for Earthquake victims in Pakistan.
 
Supposedly, officials have not been handing out tents sent to the area for the victims quick enough, so the locals are using whatever they can get their hands on.

Selling your head as advertising space!?!?!?

The guys at Major Geeks get kudos for this one.

Well this is impressive thinking outside the ol box-a-rooney! This 20 something year old american lad has sold his forehead for advertising space for a month on eBay for US$30K!

Already he’s getting press, so watch his site to see what he has to advertise for a month.

Bloody ingenious if you ask me.
