Italians are doing it more than other Europeans

According to a the latest figures from ITU, Italy now has the largest mobile phone penetration rate in Europe.

 

The report claims that Italy has around 62.7M users with a penetration rate of 109.42 per 100 inhabitants. They are now second in the world to Hong Kong which has a penetration rate of 114.5%.

 

But there is some controversy over the numbers as some other countries, such as Luxembourg, claim Italians are double dipping by having multiple SIMS per device.
