Shane Williamson is a Lean Product Management consultant who assists entrepreneurs & organisations with change management from being business centric to customer centric by utilising lean product management processes & tools so they focus clearly on delivering value to their customers.
Working in both the information technology and mobile industries, Shane has held various technical, marketing, strategy roles for managing products, programmes, teams within the South Pacific and South East Asian regions, working for companies such as Microsoft, 3 Australia and Optus.
Throughout Shane’s career he has worked on some exciting projects & initiatives such as,
- Implementing one of Australia first interactive TV trials utilising Microsoft’s WebTV service.
- Chairing the Digital TV Interoperability Standards Board.
- Technical lead for Windows ’95 launch throughout the Asia Pacific region.
- Launching an Australian first, award winning, 3G mobile application called LOC3.
- Co-founding the Sydney chapter of Mobile Monday.
Shane speaks on various topics centred on lean development methodologies, product management, mobile, customer management, presentation skills, telecommunications & platform/telco as service strategies.
Shane is a regular lecturer at General Assembly (http://generalassemb.ly) where he teaches Product Management & Lean development methodologies to assist both new and established businesses to build a customer focused product management team & more desirable products for customers.
Active in industry development, Shane regularly mentors for Australian start-up initiatives & events as well as being one of the founders of the Sydney chapter of Mobile Monday (http://www.mobilemondaysydney.com). Mobile Monday Sydney is a monthly mobile industry networking event that has been in operation since 2006.
Residing in Sydney Australia, Shane is married with a daughter.
